Overcoming Disabilities and Enforce Social Inclusion via 3D printing (3DDesi) project, aims to identify and promote 3D printing technology as a connector, between students of general education and special needs schools. Τhe participant teachers aligned with the University of the Aegean and QΜLab research team will develop common pedagogical tools for students of both types of schools. The concept of the project is based on the inclusion of students with disabilities, such as physical and/or mental impairments with the vision of creating an educational program that could run either in general schools or in special needs education. The main objective is to develop activities, in which students with physical impairments could participate, and the other students will simulate their routine and try to implement the activities in the way that students with disabilities do.
The main goal of “3D-ReMath” project is to help students better understand maths and become familiar with 3D printing technology and the procedure of recycling. One of the project's main objectives is assisting students from three European countries to better understand mathematics, to raise their environmental awareness and to enhance their interest in the use of innovative technologies and applications. The students participating in the program are not only able to better understand mathematics but also get acquainted with 3D printing technology and recycling as they are encouraged to reduce-reuse-recycle products and familiarize themselves with an innovative fabrication technology. The project is coordinated by the University of the Aegean and funded by the European Programme Erasmus+, through the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKY).
A Cultural accelerator for Education (3D4CE)” Project is coordinated by the University of the Aegean and funded by the European Programme Erasmus+, through the Greek State Scholarship Foundation. This project aims to support students on the development of the ability of research and invest on culture and knowledge and in the transition to digital education through the use and familiarization of new digital technologies. 3D4CE Project is also taking actions that will help raise awareness on the importance of European cultural heritage through education, learning and participation of pupils in activities of manufacturing 3D monuments using 3D printing technology. Using 3D printing, pupils will be able to learn and create on their own, various cultural heritage monuments from EU countries, thus contributing to the dissemination and the promotion of culture among the collaborating institutions.
