Quantitative Methods Laboratory is a research interdisciplinary laboratory, including the modules of additive manufacturing, mathematics, accounting and digital transformation. QMLab was established in 2003 and was one of the most innovative laboratories of the School of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean. QMLab is located at Chios island.
The research interest is focused on examining the changes of supply and production chain via 3D printing, using analytic methods for optimizing operational procedures, developing frameworks on internal audit and corporate governance, and defining the concept of smart cities and regions.
Specifically, we aim to study the production problem occurring through the entire product lifecycle, from the design, the supply of materials, the printed object and the cost of manufacturing. Leveraging the applications of the 4th industrial revolution, new frameworks, concepts and indicators are derived for more “sustainable” and “smarter” ways of living.
